On June 26, 2023, the reality television star - who is already the father of 12 children - revealed he has a secret son named Jon in a bombshell post.
How many kids does Dog the Bounty Hunter have?
Dog's relationship with some of his children has been strained at times.
His first child, Christopher Michael Hecht, was born after Duane's teenage relationship with a woman named Debbie White.
However, Duane didn't know of his son's existence until after White died by suicide, and the father and son connected, by which time Christopher was an adult.
The reality television star has two children with his first ex-wife, La Fonda Sue Darnell.
They share two sons - Duane Lee Chapman, II (born January 21, 1973) and Leland Blane Chapman (born December 14, 1976).
Both Duane Jr and Leland are bail bondsmen and appeared on his A&E Network reality show.
With his second ex-wife Ann Tegnell, Dog welcomed three children.
Zebadiah Chapman was born on January 1st, 1980 and tragically died 30 days later on January 31st.
They went on to welcome two further sons - Wesley Chapman on November 14, 1980, and James Robert Chapman on March 2, 1982.
With his third ex-wife, Lyssa Rae Brittain (née Greene), he welcomed his first daughter - Barbara Katie Chapman, on June 8, 1982.
She passed away on May 19, 2006, from a car crash.
They share two further children, son Tucker Dee Chapman (born September 8, 1983), and Lyssa Rae Chapman (born June 10, 1987).
Tucker went to jail for armed robbery when he was 18 and served four years of an 18-year sentence before being released on parole.
Dog's show was taken off air by A&E after Tucker sold a recording of Dog using a racial slur, in 2007.
It returned the following year after he apologized on CNN's Larry King Live.
Dog welcomed two more children with late wife Beth.
They shared Bonnie Joanne Chapman, who was born on December 16, 1998, and Garry Chapman, who was born on February 7, 2001.
Dog also became the adopted father of Cecily Barmore-Chapman (born June 19, 1993), who was Beth's daughter by her ex-husband.
Chapman rose to fame after tracking and capturing Max Factor heir and serial rapist Andrew Luster in Mexico in 2003.
This led to an offer for a reality TV show following him and his “posse” tracking down people who jump bail.

On June 26, 2023, Dog surprised fans when he took to Instagram on the 4th anniversary of his wife Beth’s death to announce that he has a secret son named Jon.
"For the last four years, this day was a terrible reminder of one of the greatest losses of my life," he wrote.
"But God redeemed this day when I discovered my son Jon, who I just met recently, was born on this day. So now instead of sorrow, this day has a new meaning. This is my son Jon and his wife Jodi."
Not much is known about his 13th child, but according to Dog, he has a new book, Nine Lives and Counting, coming out very soon that will explain further.
